just putting up a message to say this blog was on hiatus for a long while but it isn’t dead. i’ll probably start queueing up posts this afternoon to revive it and then i’ll spruce it up a bit.

westboro baptist church wants to picket the funerals of the kids who died at the sandy hook tragedy.
i live in connecticut, and westboro is planning to come to our state to picket these kids’ funerals because they believe god is punishing connecticut for legalizing gay marriage, and that’s why these kids died.
it’s fucking sickening.
please reblog this and click here to sign the petition on whitehouse.gov to legally recognize WBC as a hate group. i normally don’t do things like this but i feel it’s my duty as a citizen of this state and a morally sound person to spread the word about this and stop these people.

The National Center for Transgender Equality just launched the Transgender On-campus Nondiscrimination Information (TONI) Project. This site is the first-of-its-kind space for students to share college and university policies important to transgender people, and organize for policy change on campus.
At the TONI Project, you can:
- Learn about the kinds of policies that exist at different campuses. Does a school have gender neutral housing? Does the University health care plan include transition-related care? Are there courses that examine transgender issues? There are a lot of things that mark a welcoming community for transgender people. Use this site to find out more about a school.
- Sign up to add your school into the TONI Project, or correct information about a school already in the site. The TONI Project relies on you to be the most accurate site for this information.
- Check in with the Resources section of the website for other information important to transgender students. And when you’re ready to take action, we have resources to help you organize your campus to be a better community for transgender people.

Why i am really pissed off (about gender roles and bad teachers)
This is my kid and she is 5
She wanted to take hulk with her to school today, and she was so happy that i took her pic. she loves avengers, she watched the movie multiple times, and she always asks me for their action figures, especially from Black widow and Iron man but unfurtunally She only got the Hulk one that was from her older cousin (not only because i´m broke but also i cant find any black widow anywhere) but thats not why i´m really freaking mad…..
As soon as she got to the school her teacher looked at her, and with wide eyes and a disgusted voice and said
You, with a Hulk doll? well that is surprising
so i immediately stepped in and asked the teacher to please pay attention during play time, because i didnt want her to have a hard time with the boys,
after i picked her up the teacher told me that everything went ok. that my baby had gave the toy to the boys and went to play something else.. that struck me as really weird, because Nico was really exited about playing with her friend and his Capitan america. so on the way home i asked what happened
They took him away and didnt let me play with them because i´m a girl, they also tripped me so i fell during P.E, but i didnt see who did it.
She also told me that the teacher did nothing, not even when she fell and cried….
But the worst part is that she spent 40 minutes back home hugging her hulk and giving it kisses and telling me how she didn’t want to take it again to school because she didn’t want her friends to be mean and take it away again, but my heart really broke when she asked me
Could you please take care of him tomorrow when i will be at school?
he is brave but i don’t want him to be alone
Now we will sit to watch Avengers again with a bucket of pop corn and the hulk. but i know that it will be a long long time before i manege to convince her that she doesn’t have to hide the fact that she loves these heroes, and that the problem is with the other boys not with her.
This story will be heard, dammit.

I know I’m not Tumblr famous and I don’t know how many people are going to actually see this but for those that will see this, I just want them to know that this sort of thing happens all the time at my old school, and I’m getting sick of it. They tried to contact that media and it doesn’t seem to be working. I just want people to know that we need this to stop. If we could do something to help this situation, I don’t know what but something, it would help a lot. Nobody deserves this.

Joseph C. Keenan is the principal of the school. I don’t know how long ago this thing happened, but I think we should start sending in polite but stern complaints. We need to let these dicks know that this isn’t going to stay quiet, because this isn’t right. Even if you don’t believe in gay marriage, this is just fucking disgusting and we can’t let these people get away with this.
